Start your side hustle now! Book review: Architect Entrepreneur Vol. 2 – Tactics, Models, + Case Studies in Passive Income
Thinking about a side hustle?
Are you are interested in passive income business, but don’t know where to start? This architect side hustle book is a must for you to start your endeavor. It focuses on strategies and case studies relevant to architects. Eric Reinholdt focuses on examples that many architects could find interesting. Most online resources related to passive income are short on details. Not this book, it goes in-depth on different techniques to drive business through creative endeavors. I admit to reading Volume 2 before the first volume because it is more focused on passive income.
The book outline…
The structure of the book is based on a simple concept, inspiration, passive recipe, passive ingredients, product examples, selling and next steps. Architects will appreciate how the book gives a brief overview of the benefits of being entrepreneurial and quickly dives into how to get going. Not only is the book clearly written, but it also includes straight-forward diagraming. If you are a visual learner like me then the diagrams are much appreciated. Sometimes passive income side hustles seem too good to be true. Well, Eric Reinholdt is honest in this book about how much effort it takes to get some of these aspirations going.
Practice what you preach…
He dives into a couple of his own side hustles and presents in-depth case studies. It is nice to hear the stories from someone who practices what they preach. It was reassuring to read the section about how many people including his family doubted he could pull off the entrepreneurial side hustles he was passionate about. But over time he built up his side hustles into core aspects of his business and life. It is important when reading the book to keep in mind some of your own interests and how they might be good opportunities for your own hustle. Eric does a nice job of explaining his business endeavors, but the key is he is extremely passionate about them. In order to be successful on your own, you will have to develop your own ideas and put in the hard work.
Jumpstart your business with authentic advice…
One of the later chapters in the book explains how long it took Eric to start making money on some of his digital products. It is very helpful to hear how difficult it can be to sell something and how to find a product-market fit. He presents some lessons learned on how to start making revenue earlier without dumping tons of time into products that might not sell. These types of insights alone are worth reading this book.
